Iraq – Kurdistan citizens welcome Eid al-Fitr timidly

Citizens in Erbil province in The Kurdistan Region of Iraq welcome Eid al-Fitr in a timid and recalcitrant manner, especially after the Kurdistan Regional Government imposed a total curfew throughout the days of Eid al-Fitr, fearing of the transmission of the coronavirus by citizens’ gathering, citizens expressed fear that the total curfew will extend beyond Eid al-Fitr, pointing out that the atmosphere of Eid differed significantly for them this year, and that the curfew imposed on the Kurdistan region completely for two months has had a significant effect on the transportation of citizens and the purchasing power in the region.
