Syria – Mosques closed during Ramadan to prevent coronavirus outbreak in northeastern Syria

The Conference of the Democratic Islamic Society in northern and eastern Syria decided to close all mosques in order to prevent the outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic, especially during the month of Ramadan, as the movement of muslim worshippers usually increases at this time, the conference canceled all religious gatherings and prayers including Friday prayers and taraweeh prayers to further notice on the recommendation of the Advisory Committee and Ijtihad, as well as the suspension of all religious lessons and prayer circles, it is worth mentioning that the Democratic Islamic Society Congress is the highest religious institution in areas of Autonomous -administration and all religious institutions, organizations and offices are unified under it for unity of efforts and purpose.
