Iraq – Handing over the Habbaniyah military base from the coalition forces

After the international coalition forces handed over the Habbaniyah base in Anbar province in the west of the country to Iraqi forces, on the fourth of this month, between the representative of the office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Mahmoud Mohammed, took over the site fully, stressing the readiness of the Iraqi army to fully manage the security file, as experts pointed out that the United States should leave Iraqi territory as soon as possible to avoid a military escalation with the armed factions.
