Iraq – Corona Virus Threatens Pet and Wildlife

It seems that the Corona virus did not affect only human life, as the consequences of this virus also threaten the lives of wild animals and pets in the city of Erbil in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, after the region’s authorities imposed a curfew and cut off roads to limit the spread of the Corona virus, Which in turn tightened the screws on owners of pet shops and their breeders in providing food, health care and medical examination necessary for these animals, especially after the death of a number of them, and animal breeders complain of their inability to purchase private food for these animals due to the lack of sufficient money, demanding citizens to provide food leftovers and put them on rooftops and veranda of homes and gardens, for wild animals that are difficult for them to find what they eat in light of this crisis.
