Iraq – The high cost of living has made Kurdistan a destination for Iranian construction workers

U.S. sanctions against Tehran have exacerbated the economic and living conditions in Iran, due to the low exchange rate of the Iranian rial against the U.S. dollar and the lack of jobs available in Iran, construction workers have resorted to going to the cities of the Kurdistan Region in northern Iraq to work there even at the lowest  income to obtain enough funds to cover their living needs.
