Iraq – Death toll rises in Iraq‘s demonstrations

The death toll of the demonstrations in Baghdad and southern provinces has risen to 12, in addition to hundreds of injuries, as part of the escalating demonstrations due to the deteriorating economic conditions for the citizens and widespread corruption, Iraqi security forces fired live bullets, rubber bullets and tear gas canisters to disperse thousands of the demonstrators gathered in Tahrir Square and other areas in central Baghdad.
