Turkey – Mutual shelling on the border between Turkish forces and the SDF

The district of Akçakale in the southern Turkish state of Şanlıurfa, bordering the Syrian city of Tal Abyad, is witnessing mutual shelling between Turkish forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces, against the backdrop of Turkey’s announcement of the start of operation “Peace Spring” in the area east of the Euphrates River in northern Syria, to clear it from the terrorists “PKK/YPG” and ” ISIS” as well as the establishment of a safe zone for the return of Syrian refugees to their country.
