Somalia – Calls to combat Al-Shabaab’s media and to reciprocate a response

Al-Shabaab’s display of several videos during their attack on 10 hotels in Mogadishu has sparked media outcry across Somalia as a provocative move by al-Shabaab since these attacks have claimed the lives of many civilians and government officials, security experts have stressed the need to combat Al-Shabaab’s media by the Somali government by using a reciprocating method since the media is an integral part of war.
