Syria – Efforts to preserve the green area of Al-Raqqah province by local civil Council

The Civil Council of Al-Raqqah seeks to preserve the province’s green area in northeastern Syria. The council uses many methods to preserve the green are through the cultivation of trees and the care of agricultural land. About 60 thousand trees were planted in the lands of the Office of Forestry and Horticulture, including olive trees, palm trees, pomegranates and fig trees.  The project aims to raise the crops production in the province and exporting it abroad.
