Syria: Food shortages in Qamishli markets.
Al-Qamishli markets in Hasaka province, northeast of Syria, are witnessing a state of food and vegetables shortage and other essential items, and some people attribute the shortage of food to the siege imposed on the area and the grinding war in Hasaka.
Markets in Hasaka province, northeastern Syria suffer from lack of necessary materials, vegetables stores sell only a few kinds of vegetables sourced from local seasonal agriculture and the prices of vegetables significantly doubled recently.
As well as the case of foodstuffs, citizens in Qamishli scrambling between the lack of food and its doubled prices as a result of the war against ISIS on one hand and the blockade imposed on the province by the Regime forces on the other.
