After the successive defeats of ISIS in Iraq and Syria, and most recently in the town of Baghouz, the last of its strongholds east of the Euphrates, in addition to the many reports of him being injuried, the leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi, for the first time since his appearance in a Mosque in Mosul in 2014, appeared in a video recording in an unknown place inside a tent surrounded by a group of elements affiliated to him, imitating Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, where he had prayed for mercy to be upon the martyrs of the group who were recently killed in the town of Baghouz in eastern Syria and belonged to different nationalities, praising them and their solidity in the battle, in an attempt apparently to raise the morale of the remaining elements of the group, and to recall that the group includes a large number of different nationalities that are not limited to Iraqis and Syrians, moreover, Al Baghdadi addressed the armed attacks that were carried out in Sri Lanka on the 21st of April, which killed about 253 people, praising the perpetrators of the attacks, Al Baghdadi also stressed that the fighters of the group who have been in successive military defeats over the past two years will take their revenge.
