Philippine – Catholics celebrate Resurrection Day

Honoring the “Good Friday”, which is part of the Easter celebrations, Catholic Christians in the city of San Fernando, Pampanga, Philippines , re-performed the bloody rituals that took place on the day of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion , a large number of Catholic Filipinos participated in religious marches and walks all across the country,  interposed by dozens of participants whipping themselves using lashes that were fixated in bamboo sticks, while some of them laid on the ground as others whipped them on their backs, as a sort of atonement for their sins.
