Tunisia – 30th Arab Summit kicks off

The 30th Arab summit kicked off in the capital Tunis on Sunday, and it was attended by a large number of Arab leaders. According to what was submitted by Arab foreign ministers at the close of their preparatory meetings, the Arab Summit seeks to address around 20 topics. At the Summit, Arab leaders stressed their countries’ commitment to find solutions to the Libyan crisis, and support the United Nations’ efforts to reach a political solution to the Yemeni conflict. The Arab leaders have also issued a renewed call for supporting the Palestinian people’s right in establishing a Palestinian state, and condemned a move by the United States to recognize Israeli sovereignty over the occupied Golan Heights.
