Palestine – Launching the Land and Return Million march in Gaza Strip

 On the 43th anniversary of Land Day and 1st anniversary of the great March of Return, tens of thousands of Palestinians participated in the Land and Return Million march called for by factions across the border fence between Gaza and Israel. Clashes between protesters and Israeli forces broke out resulting in three Palestinian young men killed and dozens injured. Hamas leader in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar participated in the march emphasizing the people’s belief in their right to return and that they will not give up no matter what. His deputy, Khalil Al-Hayya expressed his optimism in Egypt’s response with regards to breaking the siege, assuring that the marches will continue until its goals are achieved. Islamic Jihad Movement leader and head of the Higher National Commission for the March of Return and Breaking the Siege, Khaled Al-Batsh paid tribute to the people of Palestine and expressed rejection of any US interference recognizing Israeli sovereignty over Palestinian land, particularly the “deal of the century”. Spokesman of Al-Nasser Salah al-Deen Brigades, Abu Mujahid warned Israeli forces of the consequences of harming Palestinians, stating that the Palestinian resistance will retaliate immediately to any crime committed against the people of Palestine.
