The Security Belt forces continue to fight drug smuggling in Abyan, southern Yemen, and they are arranging for a dedicated security strategy to fight drug smuggling of all kinds, especially after eliminating al-Qaeda and ISIS, who were using illegal checkpoints in Abyan to smuggle drugs. Over the past few weeks, the security belt forcesx were able to seize tons of drugs in a number of checkpoints throughout the province, and carry out raids on several drug smugglers’ dens. The commander-in-chief in Zinjibar, Abyan province pointed out to the security belt’s role in establishing security in the province and eliminating the terrorist gangs responsible for drug smuggling.
