Iraq – Opening the first movie theater for children in Sulaymaniyah

The Directorate of Education in Sulaymaniyah opened a movie theater for children in Sulaimaniyah in Kurdistan Rregion in coordination with Bakrajo’s Youth Center. This theater is the first of its kind in the region as its capacity is 200 people with free entry. The theater shows documentaries, scientific and educational movies for students and children of all ages. Spokesman of the Directorate of Education in Sulaymaniyah, Rebwar Omar confirmed that the theater will show movies suitable with the education and psychology of the children. He added that the purpose of this project is to teach children about the culture of cinema and how to choose meaningful movies.
