Iraq – Political analysts’ views on attacking the Popular Mobilization forces

Political analysts and experts stated that the intelligence information about Israel’s alleged attack against the Popular Mobilization forces along the Iraqi-Syrian border is believed to be reliable, adding that the purpose of this attack is to decelerate the Popular Mobilization’s advance and undermine Iran’s powers in Iraq, pointing out that Israel has been instructed to launch air strikes against this group, which has become part of the Iraqi military.

It is worth mentioning that Washington has notified the Iraqi government of a potential Israeli attack that might target the Popular Mobilization forces, noting that around 10 thousand fighters of the Popular Mobilization Forces have stationed on the Iraqi-Syrian border in preparation for entering Syria in response to Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent threats to continue to target the Iranian presence in Syria.
