Iraq – UAE provides more winter supplies for displaced people and refugees

UAE continues to provide aid and support for displaced people and refugees residing in and out of camps in Kurdistan Region in Iraq. This is part of a winter supplies campaign for 2019, which was launched by the Emirates Red Crescent in participation with government officials in Erbil, the Emirati Consulate and the Barzani Charity Foundation. The campaign involved distributing winter essentials, covers, clothing and food supplies to about 55 thousand displaced people. The supplies were also distributed to displaced Christians in Um-alnoor Church in Ankawa that has a majority of Christians in Erbil. The campaign aims to improve the living conditions of displaced people and refugees in Kurdistan Region.
