Palestine – Erekat US administration wages economic war on our people because we reject its dictates

After the decision to stop USAID aid in the West Bank and Gaza sector, the secretary general of the PLO Executive Committee Saeb Erekat considers that Palestinians rejecting the US dictates and decisions made recently against Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza sector including acknowledging Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, legitimizing the colonization and considering Israel’s crimes as self-defense has led to the escalation of the situation and the US waging an economic war by shutting down schools, hospitals, water supply networks and stopping aid that amounts to 844 million dollars. Head of PNGO Portal Amjad Al-Shwa said that this decision has ramifications on the humanitarian, economic and social situation in Palestine in general and Gaza sector in particular due to the high unemployment rate, poverty and hunger that it is suffering from.
