Iraq – Launching the counter-terrorism International Film Festival in Erbil

The counter-terrorism International Film Festival was launched in Erbil in Kurdistan Region for the fourth time with the participation of 12 countries with 42 films that highlight the practices adopted by terrorist groups and how to confront extremist ideologies. The festival involves holding seminars about cinema and the role of seventh art in fighting extremist ideology. The festival includes many films telling the story of how Iraqi forces and Peshmerga confronted ISIS in battle and cleaned up liberated regions by removing mines and explosives laid by ISIS. In addition to that, there are movies that highlight social and domestic violence and how to deal with it.
