UAE – HPV and Cervical Cancer forum kicks off

The HPV and Cervical Cancer Forum was launched today in the emirate of Sharjah. The all-day event at Sheraton Sharjah is organized by Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP) in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and it was attended by a wide spectrum of national and regional organizations, most notably, the World Health Organization (WHO), the Union for International Cancer Control and the NCD Child. The forum aims to raise awareness about the best practices followed by countries in tackling HPV-related diseases. The forum also brings together decision-makers, stakeholders, academics, and experts to discuss mechanisms and develop partnerships that will enhance the national response to eliminate HPV and cervical cancer.
