Syria – ISIS captive reveals the stages of being trafficked and joining the group

In a special interview conducted by Arab24, the ISIS captive Abdul Hafiz also known as Abu Omar Al-Pakistani arrested by the Syrian Democratic Forces along with 4 others during the final stage of Al-Jazeera Storm campaign in eastern Deir Ez Zor, spoke of the stages of being trafficked to northern Syria and joining ISIS. He also spoke of his military training with ISIS in Iraq, as well as how ISIS leaders and commanders treated recruiters who didn’t follow their orders no matter the level of importance. He mentioned that this recruitment happened when he was 16 in spite of his wish to finish his studies in a university in Mosul or Raqqa.
