Iraq – Analysts: Iraq’s budget will not cover infrastructure services

Economists explained that Iraq’s economic budget for 2019 will not cover any infrastructure services; it will only cover debt and dues of previous years. Economist Bassim Antoine pointed out the need to restore the production sectors such as the agricultural and industrial ones in addition to the tourism sector, and to not rely on oil rents to fund the budget. He assured that this will lead to increasing job opportunities for workers, graduates and experts, as well as improving all services.
