Iraq – Sihela – Sinjar road reopens more than a year after closure

The reopening of Sinjar- Sihela road and Zumar – Sihela road has considerably facilitated the transportation of goods and people, especially people who were displaced to and from Sinjar and other areas in Nineveh. The roads were reopened more than a year after closure since 16 Oct. 2017 after clashes that redeployed the Iraqi forces. Re-opening the road will facilitate the transportation of citizens and displaced people who live in the camps, and will help the displaced people return to their villages in those areas.
