Yemen – Violent clashes in Hudaydah two days before the truce starts

The Yemeni government forces responded to an attack attempted by Houthis on areas under their control north and east of Ad Durayhimi District located southwest of Hudaydah. Sources on the field said the clashes that broke out between the two parties are the most violent in weeks, which happened two days before the ceasefire that is supposed to go into effect on Tuesday in accordance with the Yemeni talks that took place in Sweden. Walid Al Qudaimi, Deputy Governor of Hudaydah said that the Houthis have been trying to get back parts of the areas they lost in Hudaydah during the past months taking advantage of the time they have left before the ceasefire goes into effect.
