Yemen – Yemenis thrilled after Houthis and Yemeni government agree to ceasefire in Sweden

Yemenis saw a glimmer of hope after the peace talks in Sweden between the Yemeni warring parties resulted in a truce between the Houthis and the Yemeni government. The UN secretary general, António Guterres, said on Thursday that the Houthi rebels and the Yemeni Government had agreed to an immediate ceasefire, and agreed to withdraw their troops from the port city of Hudaydah, and to set up humanitarian corridors and deploy UN-supervised neutral forces in Taiz.
