King Salman of Saudi Arabia inaugurated the GCC summit in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh, in the presence of GCC delegations. In his opening speech, King Salman said: “I am confident that all member states are keen to maintain the entity of the GCC,” he added that “the Council was established to enhance the security, stability and development of the Gulf and its citizens.
