Libya – Sufis rituals bring back the joy of Prophet’s Birthday celebrations in Tripoli

Tripoli – Libya 21/11/2018

After years of banning celebrations of Prophet’s Birthday due to safety concerns result from high rate of crimes and continuous armed attacks that included Sufis Zawyah, thousands of Sufis joined people of Tripoli in celebrating Prophet’s Birthday in the old city and Martyrs Square. The celebration included chanting of hymns and clapping by brass circles to express the joy and the hope of reuniting all Libyans after years of severe political conflict with no vision of reconciliation.
