Iraq – In Sinjar’s liberation 3rd anniversary… Yezidis urge for rebuilding their destroyed areas
Camp Kberto – Dahuk – Kurdistan Region – Iraq 19/11/2018
In 2014, ISIS invaded Sinjar Mountain and forced thousands of Yezidis to flee their areas after committing the worst crimes ever against them. Three years have passed and Yezidis are still living in refugees’ camps because their properties are lost, their homes are destroyed and their territories lack public services and infrastructure. This year, Yezidis took the chance of Sinjar’s liberation anniversary to push for a reconstruction campaign that might restore their areas back to its original situation which will eventually allow them to go back to their territories.
