Iraq – a young Kurd establishes the first project to raise quail birds in Kurdistan

The project of breeding quail (aka Salwa birds) in Halabja is the first of its kind in Kurdistan region, “Bilal Ahmed” had managed to establish his quail breeding project in a small farm starting with 2000 birds. The meat and eggs of this bird have great benefits in terms of health and diseases’ treatment, so they became popular among Halabja people in no time. Bilal urges government to provide him with enough support to promote and market his birds and their products to other Iraqi cities.
