Jordan: European Union representative condemned Brussels attack and cried during the press conference.
High Representative of European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy “Federica Mogherini” met with Jordanian foreign affairs minister Nasser Judeh at the ministry headquarters in Amman, Jordan, and after the meeting they held a press conference where Mogherini condemned Brussels bombings, The Conference dealt with the bilateral relations between the two sides and ways of cooperation in combating terrorism and the Syrian crisis and the situation of Syrian refugees in Jordan and ways to revive the peace process between Palestinians and Israelis.
A press conference was held in the Jordanian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday between High Representative of European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy “Federica Mogherini” with Jordanian foreign affairs minister Nasser Judeh in Amman after their meeting, which dealt with the peace talks in the Middle East and they both condemned terrorist events in Brussels.
The two sides also stressed the strength of the partnership between Jordan and the EU in resolving the Syrian crisis, the Palestinian cause which received a large part of the discussions of the right of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state with its capital in Jerusalem.
Mogherini expressed the Euro-Jordanian Partnership as an act against extremism. What the region needs now is Islamic peace, and Europe is suffering from terrorism today just like the Middle East, referring to the events of the attack in Brussels, which she started to talk about at the beginning of the press conference, forcing to end the conference crying. Mogherini praised Jordan’s role in the great bear of the burden of Syrian asylum and sheltering of more than one million refugees in the governorates of Jordan, pointing to continued EU support for Jordan in their mission to secure the refugees.
