Syrian refugee schools in the Kurdistan region witnessed a huge increase in the number of students as the new school year starts, where the number of students in 18 refugee schools in Dahuk reached about 50,000 students. The Humanitarian Affairs Authority in Dahuk indicated that this increase is caused by the arrival of new refugees, leading to a shortage of school curricula and to the educational staff’s inability to cover all schools, not mention the increased number of students in each classroom.
