Syria – Internal Security Forces continue to pursue ISIS sleeper cells in Raqqa

The internal security forces of the Syrian Democratic Forces continue to deploy their checkpoints inside and outside the city of Raqqa, north of Syria, to capture ISIS sleeper cells and prevent their infiltration into the city and to provide security around the clock to the citizens in coordination with the Syrian Democratic Forces, the International Alliance and tribal sheikhs through a joint operations room that performs intensive inspections on cars and people at the checkpoints, in addition to night patrols with the help of field officers to eliminate these cells that carry out bombings inside the city. A leader in the security forces confirmed that all the members of dormant cells of ISIS are from the tribes, and that is why they have been communicating with tribal sheikhs to provide information about the wanted and the armed groups to which they belong.
