Libya – Lack of employment doubles fish prices in Benghazi

The prices of local fish in the Libyan markets in general and the markets of Benghazi in particular have increased significantly for several months, due to the lack of Egyptian labor, which covered the sector’s need for foreign workers in the past. Fishermen in the fishing sector said that the high prices of fish in the country is normal in light of the lack of daily fishing quantities due to lack of labor, and the loss of boats for maintenance, in addition to the high prices of fishing supplies from engines and fishing nets and others.
