Iraq – Reopening the first medical complex on the right side of Mosul

The Ninawa Health Department and Dari Humanitarian Relief Organization recently opened the General Republican Emergency Hospital and the Batoul Women’s Hospital under the direct supervision of the World Health Organization (WHO). The health department of Nineveh explained that these two hospitals are the first medical complex to be reopened in the right side of Mosul to provide health services to citizens there, after the destruction of hospitals and health centers during the battles to liberate the city from ISIS, where they contain 125 beds in different departments such as emergency, surgical operations, as well as deliveries. WHO has been supporting the health sector and hospital in Mosul since its liberation along with other humanitarian organizations that has been supporting hospitals in Mosul.
