The problem of the spread of communicable diseases in the eastern countryside of Deir al-Zour has been exacerbated by the pollution of the Euphrates River, which is the main source of water for the population, because of the unavailability of raw materials to purify water. The diseases of the typhoid and Malta fever are among the most common diseases spread among the rural population, which causes high temperature, weakness of the body and joint pain, and the patients and their families appealed to concerned authorities to equip hospitals and pharmacies with therapeutic drugs, in addition to providing raw materials for water purification.
