Iraq – The people of Sulaymaniyah are concerned after the US imposed sanctions on Iran

A number of shop owners and citizens in the city of Sulaymaniyah in the Kurdistan region showed concerns after the US imposed sanctions on Iran, which might lead to raising the prices of imported materials from Iran, in which the markets of the city depend on, especially foodstuffs. Citizens demand the concerned authorities in the Iraqi government and the federal government to take measures and alternatives in in case the markets of Sulaymaniyah are affected by such sanctions, to prevent their impact on the citizens and protect them from being exploited by traders.
