Iraq – Iraq Point conference supports applications that reveal false news

Iraq Point conference, the first conference of its kind in the Arab world concluded with the participation of a large number of media personnels and interested parties. The conference seeks to promote the use of modern technology and media in various voluntary and civil fields. The conference concluded with several recommendations including supporting initiatives and programs that have a role in uncovering the truth and exposing the news. The participants also discussed the impact of electronic journalism on the local press and the extent to which electronic media could open the way for professional independent media to be a key partner in establishing the principles of democracy.
