Iraq – Human Rights Activists denounce the arrest of peaceful demonstrators

Baghdad -Iraq   11/8/2018

Human rights activists confirmed that the attacks on peaceful protesters and arbitrary arrests of activists during peaceful protests continue in most of the Iraqi provinces, pointing out that the measures taken by the security forces against demonstrators contradict the reform approach adopted by the government for years and reflect the inability to solve the problems facing citizens which prompted government to resort to force to suppress the demonstrators.
