Yemen – Hadramout residents celebrate the “Star of the Town” festival

The coasts of Al Mukalla city in the province of Hadramout, south-east of Yemen, witness the activities of the tourism festival of the town, which is linked to the star of the town’s visit to the cities of the province in July each year, a unique phenomenon where there is a spot of the sky with no stars and the sea water is cold, so citizens swim in the sea because of its health benefits and treatment, according to the belief inherited by many citizens, in addition to establishing various festivals and artistic events in the city, which has been celebrated officially and popularly for years.
