Iraq – Protests continue in Najaf.

Hundreds of people from the southern city of Najaf continue to protest against the deterioration of the electricity situation in the city and all of Iraq, demanding better living conditions for the citizens and fighting corruption. The clashes that broke out in Najaf between demonstrators and the security forces in the past days killed two citizens. Protesters stressed that the protests are not politicized, but came to demand the improvement of public services and the fight against corrupt, appealing to the Iraqi government to quickly respond to the demands of the demonstrators.
