Baharka Camp – Erbil – Kurdistan Region – Iraq 10/7/2018

Although it has been more than four years since their displacement to the camps of the Kurdistan region from their areas in the province of Nineveh, which was controlled by ISIS in June 2004, but the poor conditions of the service and the destruction of homes and infrastructure in their liberated areas prevent the displaced residents in the camps from returning to their areas. The displaced renewed their demands to the Iraqi government and the international community to help the displaced people living in the camps and improve their living conditions and enable them to return to their liberated areas and to accelerate the reconstruction and provide services. The management of Baharka camp in Erbil continues to provide assistance and various services to the displaced continuously, as well as providing food to them regularly. Baharka camp, which is located in the north of Erbil, houses 6,600 displaced people from the provinces of Nineveh, Salahuddin and Al-Anbar.
