A number of security analysts and experts pointed to the government’s reluctance implement the laws relating to restrict arms by the state despite the Prime Minister Haider Abadi’s call for the need to withdraw weapons from citizens and organizations and make it exclusively in the hands of the state, stressing that the clashes between the Hezbollah battalions and the security forces that took place recently in Baghdad and killed a policeman and injured others, was a result of the government’s failure to take a decisive decision on withdrawing weapons from the organizations, which considers themselves above the authority and had a hand in liberating some areas in Iraq.
