Syria – Deir Al-Zour residents prepare for Eid al-Fitr

As Eid al-Fitr approaches, the markets of the northern countryside towns of Deir Al-Zour in north-eastern Syria are witnessing a shopping movement of various kinds of sweets, which is an indispensable ritual of Eid. Hamid al-Rai, from the town of Alsuwar, says he started buying clothes for his children as part of the basic preparations for Eid, this comes amid hopes that peace will spread during the days of Eid.
